You may have noticed that I rarely talk abouth the Mets, Nets or any hockey period, well here I go.

I wanna start by saying congrats to Tom Glavine on winning his 298th victory, 2 shy of 300 wins. Thats a big accomplishment for any pitcher. But like I always say, it’s not how you start, but how you finish and the Mets are beginning to struggle. their offense has been mediocre to the point where they had to shake up the coaching staff. They fired Rick Down and replaced him with the 1st base coach, Howard Johnson. Another move which I think was kinda stupid was bringing in Ricky Henderson to coach 1st base. What the hell does he know about coaching other then showing someone how to steal a base. And wait, wasn’t he reportedly in the dugout playing poker a few years back during the NLCS?? Just Dumb!

Talk about being used!
With the injury to Nenad Krstic, the Nets gave an opportunity to Mikki Moore, a player who spent most of his time in the d-league. Moore filled in pretty good I must say, helped the Nets considerably and after the end of the season, he said would give the Nets “a discount” on resigning him. Well, he didn’t. He bolted for the money and Sacramento Kings. You had a guaranteed spot backing up Nenad and who is to say Krstic he is going to be 100 percent anyway. Plus playing with one of the top 3 point guards ever in J. Kidd who will get you the ball.. Bad Move!

Now Hockey..

I’ll try this another time..

Stephan Marbury appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show today to promote his sneaker line, StarBurys!

I’m happy for him.

Looks like he is changing his public image off the court. Too bad he won’t be able to change his image and the Knicks’ as winners on the court.

As for the sneakers.. I don’t own a pair but my brother owns several and loves them! He says they look good (which I agree) and feels good when he plays. Too bad they are only available at Steve & Barry’s. I’m sure once his mission catches on, they will become available in more stores around the country.
